Punjabi pop icon Diljit Dosanjh returned to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, turning the studio into a full Bhangra lesson complete with dhol beats, shoulder shrugs, and a very enthusiastic but outmatched host.
What Happened on Set
Preview clips from the episode show Diljit walking onto the stage with full swagger, wasting no time before transforming the studio into his personal dance floor. He proceeded to give Fallon a Bhangra crash course set to his track Morni, and the result was exactly what anyone would expect: laughter, chaos, and an energy shift that no rehearsed TV segment could have manufactured.
Fallon gave it his best effort. Diljit made it look effortless.
The behind-the-scenes moments felt less like a television appearance and more like a cross-cultural jam session where rhythm took over completely.
A Step Up From His 2024 Debut
This appearance marks a clear progression from Diljit’s 2024 Tonight Show debut, where he performed G.O.A.T. and Born to Shine as a musical guest. This time he joins Fallon as a full guest, reflecting just how quickly his global profile has risen.
What Is Coming Next for Diljit
Beyond the Bhangra lesson, Diljit is keeping busy. He recently appeared in Border 2 and is now preparing for Main Vaapas Aaunga, directed by Imtiaz Ali, set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan partition.
For now though, all attention is on Fallon’s stage, where Diljit did not just show up. He brought Punjab with him. And as the clips already show, it travels very well.
