Dubai’s outdoor season doesn’t slow down gradually. It ends with a date. The summer heat is creeping in, and a string of the city’s most popular Dubai outdoor spots closing for summer are calling time on their current seasons. Some have a week left. Some have a single weekend. One on this list never closes at all. Here’s the full breakdown of Dubai outdoor spots closing for summer, sorted by how much time you actually have left.
Closing This Week
Three spots shut down in the next six days.
The Square NAS — Closes April 30
The Square at Nad Al Sheba Gardens, operated by Shamal Holding, wraps up Season 2 on April 30. The free-entry open-air lifestyle destination drew more than 680,000 visitors in its first season and returned this winter with an expanded lineup featuring Cipriani Dolci, SLRP Ramen, Home Bakery, Omar Odali, Public, and a koi pond that was new this year. Padel courts, family programming, and consistent weekend events made this one a regular stop for residents. You have three days.

Marsa Boulevard — Closes May 3
Marsa Boulevard at Dubai Creek closes May 3. Al-Futtaim’s seasonal waterfront destination is now in its second season, and it ran a bigger, wider programme than its debut with new concepts including Carousel, WatchHouse’s UAE debut, Cocolily, Knot, Curly House, and Lune. The Dubai Creek backdrop, the rotating food pop-ups, and the Studio 152 creative space made it one of the city’s most-talked-about outdoor experiences this winter. Last weekend.
Marsa Al Khor, near Dubai Festival City Mall. Free entry.
The Bay By Social — Closes May 3
The Bay by Social at Dubai Festival City Mall also shuts on May 3. Social Distrikt and Al-Futtaim Group’s outdoor food market at Festival Bay has been running seasonal editions since 2023, with a rotating lineup of food vendors, carnival games, live shows, and cultural events. Consistent, accessible, and waterfront. Also last weekend.

The One That Doesn’t Close
Hatta Kayak — Open Year-Round
Unlike every other Dubai outdoor spot closing for summer on this list, Hatta Kayak operates all year. Hatta Kayak at Hatta Dam operates all year with kayaks, water bikes, yellow boats, donut boats, and tour boats available to rent. For summer visits, early mornings and late afternoons are the practical window, and the dam’s mountain setting keeps things cooler than the city. Hatta Dam is roughly 90 minutes from Dubai.
