A major diplomatic and cultural celebration brought together high-profile guests in Abu Dhabi as Ethiopia officially launched the Arabic edition of Ye Medemer Mengist, the book written by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. The ceremony celebrated the Arabic release of Ye Medemer Mengist, translated as Medemer Government, while also showcasing Ethiopian culture through traditional performances and cuisine.

The launch ceremony took place with strong diplomatic participation and a packed guest list that included UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H.E. Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, members of the royal family, ambassadors, diplomats, business community figures, and Ethiopian community representatives living in the UAE.
The Arabic translation places the Medemer philosophy in front of Arabic-speaking audiences throughout the Middle East. During the event, Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker said the Medemer concept presents Ethiopia’s approach toward cooperation with neighboring nations and global communities. He also stated that the Arabic edition would help introduce Ethiopia’s political and social philosophy to the wider Arab world.
The ambassador additionally highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates, describing the ties between both countries as rooted in brotherhood and cooperation.

VIP guest Sheeraz Hasan attended the evening as discussions around Ethiopia’s international visibility, entertainment potential, tourism image, and media presence gained attention among attendees.
