Who Is Kiko Franco?
Kiko Franco is a São Paulo-born DJ and producer, and one of the most-streamed electronic music artists on Spotify, with more than 100 million plays on the platform. His fanbase spans Brazil, Mexico, the United States, France, and Belgium, and his music regularly appears on some of the most-followed dance playlists in the world.
He works in the Afro House space, and his standing in that genre has been one of the clearest success stories in electronic music over the past few years. His remix of “Love Tonight” with Vintage Culture went straight to number one on Beatport’s Afro House Chart. BBC Radio 1 named it the Summer Anthem of 2021, and 1001 Tracklists confirmed it as the most-heard track of that year.
In 2024, Franco launched his own record label, AURUM Records. The debut release, “LOW,” passed 520,000 streams and landed in the Top 10 of Beatport’s Hype Overall chart and the Top 20 of the Afro House chart. His releases through Defected Records include a version of Moby’s “Natural Blues” alongside BLOND:ISH, which he performed live B2B with BLOND:ISH at Pacha Ibiza. His name has drawn public support from Carl Cox, David Guetta, Oliver Heldens, Diplo, Tiësto, Alesso, and Elderbrook, and he has performed at venues like LIV Miami. All of that leads to Tuesday at O Beach Dubai.
What Is O Beach Dubai?
O Beach started in Ibiza in 2012 with a clear idea: daytime parties done properly. More than a decade later, the venue had become a staple of Ibiza’s daytime culture, regularly hosting world-famous DJs, celebrities, and tastemakers who knew the name well in advance of their first visit. In October 2024, O Beach opened its first venue outside of Ibiza, at a waterfront location in Dubai.
O Beach Dubai has kept the same programming mentality the Ibiza original became known for. The UNTOLD partnership has added another dimension to its event calendar, and May 26 with Kiko Franco is the latest result of that partnership.
UNTOLD and the Dubai Scene
UNTOLD is one of the most well-attended electronic music festivals globally. It started in Romania in 2015 and drew more than 470,000 people to its 2025 edition. The festival has a major event confirmed for Dubai from November 5 to 8, 2026, at Dubai Parks and Resorts, with more than 100 artists scheduled to perform on five stages.
The curated events UNTOLD runs in Dubai ahead of the main November festival are part of how the brand has been introducing itself to a local audience. Tuesday’s pool party at O Beach is exactly that, and with Kiko Franco headlining, it is one of the harder invitations to turn down this month.
