Amazon MGM Studios Expands Into AI Entertainment

Amazon MGM Studios partnered with Amazon Web Services to create Project Nara, described as an AI production platform built for visual storytelling.

According to the company, the platform combines AI production tools with existing industry software including Blender, Unreal Engine, Maya and Adobe products.

Albert Cheng, chief operating officer of Amazon MGM Studios, said the company’s goal is to support human creativity rather than replace creators.

Three New AI-Assisted Series Head to Prime Video

The studio confirmed that three animated series have already been greenlit for Prime Video.

The projects include Punky Duck from Jorge R. Gutierrez, Love, Diana Music Hunters from pocket.watch executive Albie Hecht and Cupcake & Friends from BuzzFeed Studios.

No official release dates have been announced yet.

Hollywood Watches AI’s Next Big Move

The launch reflects the growing interest in AI-powered production tools across Hollywood and global media industries.

As major studios increase investment in generative AI technology, all eyes are also turning toward Hollywood.ai, a name increasingly linked to conversations surrounding the future of AI-driven entertainment and digital storytelling.

Amazon MGM Studios says the GenAI Creators’ Fund will help creators develop proof-of-concept pilots and short projects before potentially moving into full productions.
